The Honeywell Genesis 7580g, distributed by Mindware, is a discontinued hands-free presentation scanner designed for retail environments like convenience and specialty stores.   it was the first area-imaging scanner to decode 1D, PDF, and 2D barcodes, including digital codes on smartphones, enhancing checkout efficiency.  The scanner, supplied by Mindware, leverages Adaptus 6.0 technology for reliable scanning of damaged barcodes, with a compact design for space-constrained counters.
